Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

HOw long have you been doing henna?

I’ve been doing henna since I was 10 years old. I began doing henna professionally in 2019.

What kind of henna do you use?

I use 100% natural Rajasthani henna. My paste is hand mixed with water, sugar, and essential oils. I do not use any chemical henna products.

Where are you located?

I am located in Brooklyn, NY and Long Island, New York.

Do you travel? What are your travel fees?

I am available to travel to your location. Private appointments can be done at my home or yours (for a fee). Bridal appointments are done at your home for comfort and ease. Fees are calculated based on public transportation/ride share costs as well as the time needed to reach your location. When filling out your inquiry, please be sure to provide your location so that I can provide you with an accurate estimate.

What do you recommend as henna aftercare?

Keep the henna paste on for as long as possible; 6 to 12 hours is ideal. Keep the area warm. Feel free to use sugar and lemon water to keep the henna sticky to the skin. When it is time for removal, do not wash off the henna with soap and water. Scrape as much as you can off with oil. Try and avoid water for another 24 hours. The stain will oxidize and darken over the next 48 hours.
